[S2000] For Me, the UGREEN Phone Holder was the Correct Answer! Dedicated to You Who Don’t Want to Wander Anymore

S2000のコクピットに設置されたUGREEN製スマホホルダー

Listen up, S2000 owners across the nation. Our beloved cars are the best, but they have one fatal flaw: “There is absolutely no place to put a smartphone.”

How many mounts have I sent to the trash bin until now? Suction types lose to the dashboard’s grain, and clip types bow their heads due to vibration. I just want to see Google Maps—why am I forced into such a penance?

But finally, I found it. It’s this UGREEN Smartphone Holder.

■ My “4 Ironclad Conditions” for a Smartphone Holder

My criteria for choosing a mount are worlds apart from the naive thinking of “as long as I can put it somewhere.”

  1. Must hold a massive phone. My phone is large, about 6.8 inches, so a solid grip is mandatory.
  2. Rigidity against vibration. (It’s not funny if it drops the moment VTEC kicks in.)
  3. Exquisite positioning. It must not block the AC vent, and the phone should not be directly hit by hot or cold air.
  4. Visual proximity. It must be near the steering wheel with excellent visibility. (Google Maps is my lifeline.)

■ The “Logical Answer” hammered out by UGREEN

Look at this installation diagram. While utilizing the AC vent, the arm creates an exquisite “offset.”

Thanks to this, even in the tight cockpit of the S2000, the screen is right next to the hand gripping the steering wheel. Eye movement is kept to a minimum. At the same time, it doesn’t do anything as unrefined as completely blocking the AC flow.

I’ll be honest. For months before I got this, I was fighting with “a smartphone that shifts every time I wait at a red light,” swearing to myself alone in the car. If I had the wasted time and money spent back then, I could have put in better oil by now. …Well, no use crying over spilled milk. My wandering drama has come to an end by meeting this UGREEN.
